Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure, one-way scrambled form, so we can never read it).
• Order details: what you buy, your shipping address, and a phone number if you give one.
• Payment: card and wallet payments (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay) are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Text message choices: whether you agreed to receive texts, which kinds, and when and how you agreed.
• Support messages: anything you send us through the Support page or by email.
• CueLogic discount: if you use the CueLogic member discount, the player number or organizer ID you enter. We ask CueLogic only whether it qualifies; CueLogic does not share your contact details with us.
• Technical basics: your device and browser type and IP address, used to keep the site secure and working.
• How the shop is used: pages and products viewed, items added to the cart, and where visitors came from (for example a search engine or a link), collected through Google Analytics and our own visit counts, as described below.

Cookies and storage

We use a cookie that keeps you signed in, and your browser's storage to remember your cart. We do not use advertising cookies.

Our own visit counts: to see which products are popular, the shop also records, without cookies, when a visit starts, which products are viewed or added to the cart, and when checkout begins. Each visit is identified only by a random number your browser forgets when you close the tab; we don't link it to your name, account or IP address. These records are deleted after about 13 months.

Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the shop, such as which pages and products are popular and how people find us. It uses cookies and collects information like pages visited, the type of device and browser, approximate location (city or region) and how you arrived at the site. It does not give us your name, email or payment details, and we have turned off Google's advertising features for the shop. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy (see how Google uses information from sites that use its services). You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on; the shop still works without them.

How we use your information

• To process, ship and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
• To run your account and keep it secure.
• To send order and account emails, and text messages only if you have agreed to them (see our SMS Terms).
• To answer your questions and improve the shop.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements and to prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

• Stripe (payments), shipping carriers and the partners who make and ship some items (name, shipping address and order contents only).
• Our hosting, database, email (SendGrid) and text message (Telnyx) providers.
• Google, for site usage statistics (Google Analytics), as described under Cookies and storage.
• Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect our customers and business from fraud.

Text messaging: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with or sold to anyone else. Information may be shared only with the providers who deliver our messages.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as tax and accounting rules require (usually seven years). We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Records of your text message consent are kept for as long as you are subscribed and for a period afterwards, as the law requires.

Your choices

• See or update your details in your account at any time.
• Stop text messages by replying STOP to any of our texts, or turn them off in your account.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@hillhill.com. We keep only what the law requires us to.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only in scrambled form, and limit who can see customer information. No system is perfect, so please keep your password private.

Children

The shop is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. You must be 18 or older to opt in to text messages.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Important changes will be shown on the site or emailed to account holders.
